2018 National finalists Upper Hill High School will, tomorrow, square it out with Nairobi school for a ticket to represent the Nairobi region in the national games slated for April in Mombasa.

Upper Hill, beat hard fighting Hill Crest 3-2 on post-match penalties after a barren draw in regulation time. Hill crest coach Joseph Otieno praised his boys for putting in a spirited fight ‘’Of course when you are playing you expect to win. But that didn’t happen. But my boys went all the way to shoot outs. What we can do now is go back to the drawing board and look forward to playing next year’’ He said.

Nairobi School were awarded a walk over to the finals after their opponent Lenana School, failed to produce all the requisite documents to proceed with the match. Speaking to Magongo Kenya, Lenana tactician Victor Okune decried the hostile treatment his side received from the conveners of the tournament. ‘’Some of my players did not have KCPE certificates since they have not collected them from their primary schools. However, we had ten players that had all the documents. Why wouldn’t the ten players be allowed to play? ‘’He wondered.’’ He further alleged that the tournament rules were changed midway through the tournament as the team had played on Friday.

Upper Hill coach Dennis Wekesa lauded his charges for playing according to plan and achieving their objective of qualifying for the finals. ‘’Our focus for tomorrow is to win and represent the region at the Nationals in Mombasa.
