Uphill battle for Green Sharks as they face Kenya Police

Third placed Green Sharks have a heavy task as they face defending champions Kenya Police in their fifth match of the Kenya Hockey Union men’s Premier League two of which were rained off. Both teams are on a good run picking maximum points in their last matches.

According to Ben Owaga the Green Sharks coach, he believes it’s a match like any other since both of the teams are enjoying a good run so far in the league. “We respect them but we don’t fear them, they are a team like any other regardless of their status. We expect to capitalize on any of their mistakes as we eye nothing less than a win,” said Owaga.

In other men’s Premier League match of the weekend, Butali Warriors take on Western Jaguars in the last match for Saturday as Green Sharks play Western Jaguars and Wazalendo face KCA University on Sunday.

Women’s Premier League defending champions will be seeking to stamp authority in the league as they face Sliders as Chase Amiras take on Strathmore University on Sunday.

In the women’s Super League, debutants Nakuru Club welcome Kenyatta University in Nakuru.
