Nairobi School, Hill Crest triumph

Hosts Nairobi school put up a spirited fight against Nairobi region defending Champions Upper Hill to force the highly contested encounter into post-match penalties. Both sides displayed flashes of brilliance from the beginning of the match. Nairobi school looked the better of the two sides taking advantage of their home ground support to take charge of the match. Their efforts were however thwarted by the Upper Hill experienced backline. Upper Hill looked to have buried the match in stoppage time when their forward Timothy Simiyu deflected a red zone hard ball past the Nairobi School short stopper. 2018 National finalists Upper Hill High School will, tomorrow, square it out with Nairobi school for a ticket to represent the Nairobi region in the national games slated for April in Mombasa. Upper Hill, beat hard fighting Hill Crest 3-2 on post-match penalties after a barren draw in regulation time. Hill crest coach Joseph Otieno praised his boys for putting in a spirited fight ‘’Of course when you are playing you expect to win. But that didn’t happen. But my boys went all the way to shoot outs.
