The Kenya Hockey Union (KHU) Men’s Premier League continues this weekend with five matches set to be played between Saturday 20th January and Sunday 21st January 2018.
On Saturday, Western Jaguars travel to Nakuru for a date with Nakuru Hockey Club, a side they edged 1-0 in the first leg encounter.
The Kakamega based side might be safe from the bottom but are still on the hunt for a respectable finish. They are currently placed 11th on the table standings and a win tomorrow is certain to hop them into the top ten positions. The match kicks off at 15:00.
At the City Park Stadium, relegation-threatened Kenyatta University Vultures will take on Sikh Union Nairobi in a must win match that kicks off at 18:00.
The students are 13th on the log, just a point above KCA University who have played a game less. Previous meetings between the two sides however do not favor KU as they have lost twice in a row again Sikh; first a 2-1 loss back in September 2016 and a 3-0 thumping in June last year.
KU boast of only two wins in their last ten games and have lost all the other eight. Sitting just one point from the relegation zone, another loss is likely to double their chances of going down the drain
After locking horns with Nakuru on Saturday, Western Jaguars travel to Nairobi to face Parkroad Badgers at the City Park Stadium from 09:00.
The match will then be followed one between second-placed Butali Sugar Warriors and Parklands Sports Club from 11:00 at the same venue. While Butali have won all eight of their last fixtures, Parklands have three from the same number of games.
Wrapping up the weekend at noon will be a tie between Sikh Union and National League bound Technical University of Kenya (TUK).
