KHU names squads ahead of TAP East Africa Tournament

The Kenya Hockey Union has named the two squads ahead of the Targeted Assistant Program (TAP) Hockey 5’s East Africa Tournament scheduled to be played on the 16th and 17th February 2019 in Nairobi.

The TAP Hockey 5’s tournament will be played by teams from Kenya and Uganda with Kenya registering two teams in the men and women categories.

The two men’s teams will be coached by Mike Malungu and Zack Aura while Rose Mbulo and Glennis Namasake will guide the women’s teams.

According to the African Hockey Federation, along with the tournament, training programs will take place for coaches and officials from the East African region under the new three-year TAP project. The TAP project is scheduled to run from 2019 to 2021 and is a program jointly administered by the African Hockey Federation, the International Hockey Federation (FIH) and the FIH Hockey Academy.
