Kenya Hockey Union men’s Premier League side Parklands Sports Club are calling for sponsorship opportunities ahead of their 2019 season campaign.
The team that was promoted to the men’s Premier League in 2014 alongside Kenyatta University is self-sponsored after Parklands Sports Club who were the sole sponsors pulled out. Parklands Sports Club managed a top six finish in the 12-team 2018 men’s Premier League.
According to a club statement signed by the team’s captain Kelly Adolwa, the Parklands-based side is in urgent need of a sponsor who will help the team carter for their financial needs in the coming season
“We are desirous of sports sponsorship of mutual benefit from individuals or corporates. This is to enable the team to meet its financial obligations for the season starting in the first quarter of 2019. Our proposition is in accordance with the resolutions made in the annual general meeting held by all the team members on December 2, 2018. Our agreement shall be binding upon us subject to modifications resulting from any subsequent contract negotiations up to the expiration of the validity period of the contract,” read the club statement.
The team holds their training sessions thrice a week, and their training ground is located at the Parklands Sports Club in Parklands, Ojijo Road, Nairobi.
