Hosts Nairobi school put up a spirited fight against Nairobi region defending Champions Upper Hill to force the highly contested encounter into post-match penalties. Both sides displayed flashes of brilliance from the beginning of the match.
Nairobi school looked the better of the two sides taking advantage of their home ground support to take charge of the match. Their efforts were however thwarted by the Upper Hill experienced backline.
Upper Hill looked to have buried the match in stoppage time when their forward Timothy Simiyu deflected a red zone hard ball past the Nairobi School short stopper. The goal was however disallowed after umpire Prince Omollo adjudged foul play on a Nairobi school defender.
Hill Crest to the Nationals after ten year absence
Hill crest tactician Dorcila Agunda was elated as her side qualified for the nationals after a ten year absence beating State House by a solitary goal ‘’ It was a very tough match.
