It will be an action filled weekend in the Kenya Hockey Union women’s Super League, as three matches have been lined up at the City Park
Super League women’s side University of Nairobi (UON) is more than confident for a win and additional points which will push them to the top of the standings. UoN play visiting side Mombasa Sports Club (MSC) on Saturday at 4 p.m. The students who are currently placed second in the league standings with a tie of 4 points between them and newcomers Leonas are confident for a promotion to the Premier League.
“We are in this season to win the league and to win it in style,” said Clayson Luvanda the UoN coach. Luvanda is however under no pressure to win the match as he believes he has his team in shape and ready to win it easily. “Winning the match on Saturday will give us an upper hand .beacause we will be the league leaders this early which is very important. So we expect to win the game,” he added.
In another Super League women’s match, league debutants Technical University of Kenya (TUK) will take on Nakuru women. Both teams are yet to play a single match this season.
On the other hand, Multimedia University (MMU) will be seeking to strengthen their Premier League promotion hopes as they play visitors Mombasa Sports Club (MSC) on Sunday. The students need a win to go past Vikings while the Mombasa-based side
