Contrasting start for Kenyan teams in the ACCC

The two Kenyan teams featuring in the 2018 Africa Cup for Club champions have so far had contrasting results as they approach match day three. Kenyan champions Telkom have been at their best with 100 percent win record in three matches. Telkom started the competition against Ghana Police, evergreen forwards Jacqueline Mwangi and Audrey Omaido were on target as they beat the Ghanaian law enforcers 2-1. They went ahead to beat their counterparts United States International University-Africa (USIU-A) with four goals and stamped authority in the championship with a 4-1 win against hosts Delta Queens in their third match. Kenya Hockey Union men's Premier League side Parklands Sports Club are calling for sponsorship opportunities ahead of their 2019 season campaign. Frank Wanangwe's two goals against former champions Kenya Police ensured Butali Warriors took home the 2018 Kenya Hockey Union men's Premier League title at the City Park stadium. Butali Warriors started off the match well with an early goal in the 12th minute by Wanangwe after he was set up well by substitute Marteen Fontejn to beat Kenya Police goalkeeper Martin Agesa. United States International University Africa (USIU-A) are confident ahead of their debut in the 2018 Africa Cup for Club Champions (ACCC) that will kick off on the 15th to 22nd December 2018 in Abuja, Nigeria. The titles of the men’s three leagues, will all be determined next weekend as the front runners in the leagues await a final show down to determine who will lift the trophies in the three leagues. On the flip side, the battle to remain in the top flight league has also taken a mathematical angle as relegation candidates face off against each other.
