Africa Cup for Club Champions (ACCC) titleholders continued their impressive continental displays with a 3-0 win over Nigeria’s Kada Queens on Monday January 22 at the Theodosia Okoh Hockey Stadium in Accra, Ghana.
Telkom, who are also Kenya Hockey League’s champions in waiting, got the easy win courtesy of goals from Maureen Okumu, Jackline Mwangi and skipper Tracy Karanja to maintain their unbeaten start.
The Jos Openda coached side have now registered three wins out of three and are yet to concede a goal. They kicked off their campaign with a 5-0 thrashing of Yoba Desert Queens before edging country mates Strathmore University 1-0 in day two of the tourney.
After resting on Tuesday, Telkom take to the field on Wednesday against GRA before ending their preliminary round matches against Ghana Police on Thursday.
The Kenyan side is widely expected to be among the top two teams that will make it through to Sunday’s final.
